Canadian songwriting duo Lester formed in 1998. Made up of musician/producer and all around workhorse Brian Carson and prominent West Coast DJ /producer/David Hasslehoff look alike, Scott Arkwell AKA DJ Vinyl Ritchie. Lester's music has been described as "downright filthy, primetime block rockers" by Jockey Slut magazine. DJ Freddy Fresh says "[Lester] definitely have the funk" and included them on his 'Abstract Funk Theory' compilation for BMG Europe and his 7" 'Howlin' USA'. With countless exclusive white labels killing the clubs, two releases on Skeewiff's Jalapeno Records (London) and a second full-length album to be released in 2006, Lester are layin' down their musical manifesto.

Colin Chu, better known as Big League Chu, is simply the leading DJ talent in Canada?s breakbeat scene today. After nearly a decade of DJing, his name is synonymous with the funky, party-happy sound that?s become Chu's rallying call - and it's one that crowds answer faithfully. In all cultures of the world, the sun is the giver of life, representing the creative, reproductive, and omnipresent force around all which revolves.

Based in Toronto, Canada, Touch the Sun Productions is a growing multi-disciplinary, cross collaborative production and performance collective made up of healers, philosophers, and artisans who are dedicated to produce and promote the work made from within their community. Film screenings, dance performances and full-on dance events are but a few possibilities for presentations.

Touch the Sun Productions is also forming a closed web-casting network, that will serve as a membership directory and that will serve as another means of presenting our work via radio broadcasts for d.js and musicians, film and video screenings, an on-line gallery for visual artists, and, a means of sharing information with eachother.

Resident Evil 2 Filming

If you're a movie buff or a general celebrity fan, you might be interested to know that Resident Evil 2 will be filmed from today until friday at the Ernst & Young tower at the TD Centre. Wellington from Yonge to York will be closed off to park the army of vehicles here for the shoot.

How do I know this? I work at Wellington and York. Yeah, I'm glad I'm not driving in to work this week.
